Dr. Mika Hayashi graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her surgical residency training at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital where she served as Chief Resident overseeing the Podiatry Departments. During her residency, Dr. Hayashi performed surgeries including Bunionectomy, Hammertoe surgery, fracture fixation, and foot amputation.

After training at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital, Dr. Hayashi served as the foot and ankle injury specialist at the Miller Healthcare Institute for Performing Artists, the first medical center in the nation to solely cater to performing artists. At the Miller Institute, Dr. Hayashi successfully treated numerous Broadway performers and dancers by employing minimally invasive or no surgery approach. During this time, she started to consider the idea of treating regular patients with a less invasive approach and improve their Quality of Life.

In 2008, Dr. Hayashi opened her private practice MIKA HAYASHI, D.P.M, P.C. Foot and Ankle Surgery, Sports Medicine. She has treated various varsity and professional athletes and performers. Dr. Hayashi is fluent in Japanese, English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate and care for a diverse range of patients.

Dr. Hayashi is also a staff at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, which is ranked in Top 5 best orthopedic hospitals in the nation. She specializes in orthopedic surgeries as well as less invasive treatments, such as PRP therapy, orthotics therapy, and nutrition and vitamin intake advice.

In recent years, Dr. Hayashi has been significant contributor to the growth of the Podiatry Medicine in Japan. In March 2014, she was invited by the Japanese Society of Footcare as one of the three international guest speakers.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hayashi is a mother of 10-year-old son and enjoys cooking, swimming and skiing.

Dr. Alecia Williams is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After receiving her Podiatric Degree, Dr. Williams trained for three years at multiple institutions including at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital and Gramercy Surgical Center. Her training involved exposure to a broad range of medical areas including inpatient and outpatient management of sports related injuries, wound care, diabetic screening, trauma, and foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Williams currently serves as the Associate Doctor at Mika Hayashi, D.P.M, P.C. Foot & Ankle Surgery, Sports Medicine. She is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys sports and reading novels.
