150th anniversary of Baseball introduction from US to Japan
So inspiring! Yesterday I had an honor to participate in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Baseball introduction from the US to Japan where Baseball now became the national sport. Hideki Matsui, former Yankees player/MVP in the 2009 World Series was a star of the night along with Matt Murton, Former Hanshin Tigers Player in 2010 for 6 years. They both started Foundations where they teach baseball to children. “Godzilla” hopes to continue to bridge between the two countries in baseball: he mentioned that “Yakyu” (baseball in Japanese) and Baseball have slight differences in that the former is all about the respect and the latter is about the excitement/entertainment. He would like to teach children both of good sides, which I will surely convey to our young athletes’ patients too.
