A Special Visit from Our Very First Mika Hayashi Awardee

This was a very special and meaningful moment for me and for our office.

Earlier this year, I established the Mika Hayashi Award through the JAA General Scholarship Awards for high school seniors. Because I was unable to attend the scholarship gala at the Harvard Club, I was not able to present our very first award in person.

Before leaving for West Point Military Academy, our very first awardee, Julien Crampe, kindly came to visit me.

Meeting Julien in person made everything feel real. He is a diver, a dedicated student, and a young person with courage, discipline, and a bright future ahead. His next step to West Point is truly inspiring.

As our office celebrates its 20th anniversary, I feel so grateful to now be able to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years. Supporting the next generation is one of the most meaningful parts of this milestone.

Congratulations again, Julien. I am proud to support your journey and wish you continued success at West Point and beyond.
