ニューヨークは国連総会の真っ只中です。日本政府の加藤勝信厚生労働大臣や元世界医師会会長（現日本医師会会長）の横倉義武先生は、お忙しい中空港から直行で交流会に出席されました。 現地ニューヨークからは、米国日本人医師会会長の柳沢ロバート貴裕先生、副会長の加納真紀先生、前会長の本間俊一先生、林美香先生などニューヨークで活躍する日本人医師が参加しました。 国境を越えて、日本の医療機関のリーダーの方々と楽しい会話ができたようです。両国からお互いの良い点を学びつつ、日本にはまだ存在しない「足病医」の育成については、今後「政府、企業 、医学」の手を繋ぎ、人々の足の健康への関心を高めながら、日本のフットケア医療の向上のため、アメリカから尽力していきたいと思います。
